Judi is a pioneer in designing and applying innovative green and sustainable community developmentSchweitzer solutions for real estate policy, acquisitions, entitlements, development and construction  relating to master-planned communities, resorts, lifestyle and mixed-use commercial projects.  She founded Schweitzer + Associates, Inc. to apply her 25+ years of experience and knowledge in complex multi-faceted real estate developments, to the challenges facing the real estate industry today.

Judi leads and assembles multidisciplinary consulting teams with cutting-edge expertise to help clients navigate the dynamic and often confusing world of sustainable development.  With her clients, Judi creates projects that are innovative, high performance, environmentally responsible, sustainable, beautiful and valuable.

Judi’s ongoing research contributes practical solutions and insights to the industry’s understanding and quantification of the value proposition of green and sustainable developments.  She is developing proprietary tools that will enable true cost pricing, and total cost accounting/valuation that addresses total costs and benefits, both market (economic) and external (global impacts) for various stakeholders in development and design decisions.

Rick Chitwood


Rick Chitwood has been a leader in the field of residential building performance as a contractor, consultant and trainer for more than 30 years. He has been a long time building performance contractor, even before it was called that, and even owned a blower door in the ‘80s. Today with his experience as a contractor and many high performance residential buildings under his belt, he spends most of his time teaching for the California Building Performance Contractors Association, doing research, and helping with the updates to the California Energy Code. Mr. Chitwood is the chair of the Technical Committee of the California Building Performance Contractors Association and is co-author of the CBPCA Home Performance Training curriculum.


Ken Nittler


Ken Nittler is the owner of Enercomp and Micropas Author. He has 25 years experience with building energy codes and is a 10 year participant at MEC/IECC code hearings. He is a member of the RESNET software approval task group and a licensed mechanical engineer who frequently acts as a consultant to state agencies on energy codes. He is a member of multiple groups including ASHRAE, NFRC, and CABEC. He is an expert on Fenestration energy performance and the leader of hundreds of Micropas seminars.


Western Cooling and Efficiency Center


The Western Cooling Efficiency Center was established alongside the UC Davis Energy Efficiency Center in 2007 through a grant from the California Clean Energy Fund and in partnership with California Energy Commission Public Interest Energy Research Program. The Center partners with industry stakeholders to stimulate the development of cooling technologies that can reduce energy demand, and water consumption in buildings.
