03/14/07

We are delighted to announce that The Grupe Company’s "green" features capture gold!

Grupe’s Carsten Crossings community was recently announced as a Gold Award Winner in the 2007 EnergyValue Housing Awards (EVHA), sponsored by the National Association of Home Builders Research Center.

EVHA winners were honored "for successfully showcasing integrated design approaches, environmentally friendly practices and advanced building techniques that have put them at the forefront of energy-efficient construction," according to the Research Center.

In the EVHA Winners Magazine, The Grupe Company is described as a "builder with a strong commitment to energy efficiency and sustainability."

"We are very pleased to receive the award," said Mark Fischer, senior vice president of The Grupe Company. "This is the first time The Grupe Company has participated in the EVHA program and winning the first time out is just tremendous. It’s a validation that we are doing a good job and a leader in high performance housing," he said.

The company also is recognized for its comprehensive buyer education program highlighting energy efficiency. Model homes offer hands-on displays featuring innovative energy technologies including solar heating panels, tankless water heaters and radiant barriers.
