IEHRV-HX
The IEHRV-HX project is an offshoot of the HyPak high-efficiency RTU project to develop a universal indirect evaporative plate-type air-to-air heat exchanger. The first application of this heat exchanger is expected to be a commercial heat recovery ventilator. Following completion of the IEHRV-HX project, DEG will seek additional funding to develop the balance of the Indirect Evaporative Heat Recovery Ventilator.
DEG has a patent application pending with the U.S. Patent Office for this innovative fan-folded heat exchanger technology. Further details will be released by DEG after the patent is granted.
The IEHRV-HX project is funded by the California Energy Commission as part of the Building Energy Research Grant program. Begun in December 2007, the IEHRV-HX project is schedule to last 24 months.
